Show Funeral Services Held Saturday For Mary J. Butte Very impressive funeral rites were held Saturday in the Second-Fourth Second-Fourth Ward Chapel for Mary Juanita Butte, who died earlier in the week at the American Fork hospital. The services directed by Bishop Keith Miller of the Second Ward. Gerald Belliston of the Fourth Ward Bishopric opened with prayer. pray-er. Mrs. Leah Johnson of Salt Lake City played an organ solo, "One Sweetly Solemn Thought." Speakers who paid tribute to the active life of Mrs. Butte were Bishop Hoyt Brewster of Garden Park ward, Salt Lake City, who was formerly Mrs. Butte's bishop; and Warren Anderson, of American Ameri-can Fork, close friend and neighbor neigh-bor of the Butte family, during their residence in American Fork. Both also spoke words of faith and encouragement to the family. Music interspersing were a viloin solo, "A Perfect Day" Mrs. Leslie Rees, accompanied by Mrs. J. Howard Nelson, and a vocal solo, "Thank Godi For A Garden" by Elvis Terry, accompanied by Karen Teriy. After closing remarks of sympathy sympa-thy and appreciation by Bishop Miller, President Elwood Allen pronounced benediction. Mrs. J. Howard Nelson played prelude and postlude organ music. Interment was made in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, where A. P. Warnick offered the j dedicatory prayer. Pallbearers were George Bell, Howard Woofindien, Richard H. Walch, Elmo Stocking, Ben And-ersn, And-ersn, Joseph Patterson. Flowers were cared for and arranged ar-ranged by the Pleasant Grove Second Sec-ond Ward Relief Society. |
