V V" - v CjP - - - DAIRY JUDGES Judging in national competition competi-tion are the Pleasant Grove Dairy Judging team, Mac Boyer, Kay Richins, Eldon Armitstead, Gary Hunter and Paul Gillman. Pleasant Grove Dairy Judging Team Represents Utah in National Competition at Waterloo, Iowa Five Pleassant Grove Hig-h School boys and their instructor Willis M. Banks, left Pleasant Grove last Monday morning for Waterloo, Iowa. The boys are mem bers of the Utah State Champion Dairy judging team and will compete com-pete with similar teams from the 48 states in a contest sponsored by the National Dairy Association. This is the first time for almost 20 years that a Pleasant Grove High School Dairy judging team has won state honors and gone on to the national competition. Joe Day was the coach of the former team and took his boys into the finals at Kansas City, Mo. Coming and going to Waterloo, Iowa, where this year's contest will be held, the group will visit the following points of interest: Laramie, Wyoming; North Platte, Nebraska; Lincoln, Nebraska; Omaha, Om-aha, Nebraska; Des Moines, Iowa; Waterloo; Chicago, Illinois; Kansas Kan-sas City, Missouri, and Denver, Colorado. Boys making the trip are Kay Richins, Gary Hunter, Paul Gill-man, Gill-man, Eldon Armitstead and Mac Boyer. |
