Show PTA Officers Meet To Outline Yearly Program Agenda Pleasant Grove High School and Junior High PTA officers met on Monday at the high school to discuss dis-cuss and outline suggested problems prob-lems to be taken up at PTA meetings meet-ings during the year. The meeting meet-ing was held as a joint affair as it was felt that Junior and Senior Sen-ior High problems have much in common. Present at the meeting were K. Warnick Swenson, high school PTA president; Lurena Warnick, program pro-gram chairman and Maxine Fugal, secretary. Junior High PTA organization or-ganization was represented by Naomi Walker, president; Beth Driggs, program chairman, and Maxine Smith, secretary and Af-ton Af-ton Pace, Junior High publicity chairman. Representing the school were A. J. Rogers and Lyean Johnson, principals; prin-cipals; Pat Morgan, senior high program chairman; Karen Bellis-ton; Bellis-ton; and candidates for Junior High offices, Larry Harris and Steven Walker, presidential candidates can-didates and Nona Kirk and Stanley Stan-ley Warnick, program chairman candidates. Some of the typical problems brought up were driver training, bus problem, dating, afternoon dances for the Junior High, married mar-ried students attending school and foreign language classes. These and other topics will be printed on cards which will be sent home to parents. Parents are requested to look these over and check off the problems they would like discussed at the PTA meetings to be held during the year. Space for suggested sug-gested problems which are not listed list-ed will also be on the card. Cards should be returned to the school for study by PTA officers. The first meeting of the Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove High School and Junior High PTA will be held Oct. 25, and all parents are urged to plan to join and support the PTA. |
