Show Jaycees, Gems Install Officers At Banquet During an Inauguration Banquet Ban-quet held recently at the Alpine Grill, officers for the Pleasant Grove Junior Chamber of Commerce Com-merce and the Jaycee Gems were installed. Chris Metos, national director of the Jaycees, and distinguished dis-tinguished award winner for Utah, was the guest speaker. Retiring Jaycee president Don Hales, was in charge of the meeting. meet-ing. Mr. Metos presented Jack Lee with the official presidents pin, and then installed the other officers, offic-ers, Ted Jones, first vice president; presi-dent; Emile Cances, second vice president; Harold Prestwich, two-year two-year director; Don Hales, state director; Sam Green, Holley Max-field Max-field and Calvin Mills, one-year directors and Ken Shoell, holdover hold-over director. A corsage was presented to Yvonne Jones as the new president of the Jaycee Gems; and she in turn presented the official past-president's past-president's pin to Gwen Maxfield. In addition to Mrs. Jones, the following Gems officers were in-staalled: in-staalled: Wanda Hales, vice president; presi-dent; Ellen Prestwich,, secretary; Mabel Mills, reporter and historian; histor-ian; Ethel Cances, two-year director; direc-tor; Gwen Maxfield and Mae Louise Lou-ise Lee, one-year directors. At the first board meeting held at the home of president Jack Lee Calvin Mills was appointed secretary-treasurer of the club. Those in attendance at the inauguration in-auguration banquet were Mr. and Mrs. Don Hales, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lee, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Keetch, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Poulson, Mr. and Mrs. Emile Cances, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Green, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Mills, Mr. and Mrs. Holly Maxfield, Max-field, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Prestwich, Prest-wich, Chris Metos and Miss Helen Patsuris. |
