Show Cancer Drive to be Held on Monday, April 1 8 in Pi. Grove A kickoff meeting for the Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove area was held at the home of Drive Chairman K. V. Adams last Friday night. Mrs. V. F. Houston and Mrs. J. B. Storrs of American Fork attended the meeting and stressed the importance import-ance of contacting every home during the coming drive. Mrs. Houston and Mrs. Storrs are co-chairmen co-chairmen of the Utah County Cancer Committee. According to Chairman Adams, the local drive for funds will be conducted on Monday April 18, between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. "Every home in the Pleasant Grove-Manila area will be visited," visit-ed," said Mr. Adams. Those who canvas the homes will also leave literature, explaining the danger symptoms of the dread disease, Mr. Adams stated. Professor Royal Garff of the University of Utah, will speak at Firmage Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday Fri-day April 15. Professor Garff, whose first wife was a cancer , victim, is an interesting and forceful force-ful speaker on the need for a united front in the war against the disease. All interested ward chairmen and committee workers are earnestly requested to attend the meeting. Through an oversight the name of Mrs. Morgan Howell was omitted omit-ted from the list of district chairmen chair-men published in last Friday's Review.
