Show Dairymen Pledge 30 Day Milkiest To Prove a Pc;n; Dairymen from Utah joined with dairy leaders from all over the nation na-tion Tuesday, March 22 to start a nation-wide "30 Day Milk Test" to prove a point they have been talking about for some time. The dairymen, through tneir American Dairy Association, have been telling people that you can relax, sleep better, lose weight comfortably and end calcium starvation star-vation if you drink at least three glasses of milk every day. To prove this they are asking the public to try the plan for 30 days. To start off the campaign some 350 dairy leaders attending the association's annual meeting at the Knickerbocker Hotel in Chicago signed pledge cards saying they would drink at least three glasses of milk every day. Representing Utah in taking the pledge were Merrill N. Warnick, Welby Young and Lincoln Jensen. V.'dUy Vuung, President of the ADA of Utah, said that they are going to carry this campaign into every community in this state. Pledge blanks will be distributed to sendee clubs, women's clubs, and through manv other channels between now and the end of June. "We're pushing this 30 Day Milk Test pretty hard because we know people will live better and longer if the ywill get into a life-long habit of consuming at least three glasses of milk every day. "Nutrition studies have proved that daily foods are the best sources of calcium, as well as other oth-er minerals and vitamins. Milk is essential in the diet from birth through old age. The important nutritional values of milk make it a bargain food. We think the 30 Day Milk Test will be a bargain in good health for everyone in Utah." |
