V li a J ft w i Students of Pleasant Grove Senior Sen-ior High School did better than average av-erage in the speech meet held at Springville High School Wednesday. Wednes-day. Sixteen students received "superior" ratings for their presentations. pre-sentations. In the one-act play "The Clod," by Lewis Beach, a top rating was given for the presentation to actors ac-tors Carol Harsh, Royce Walker, Donald Anderson, David Radmall, and Reese Blackhurst. Other students rated superior are as follows: Dramatic readings, Jane Linebaugh, Kay Nagel and Gwen Lewis; Humorous readings, Laurene Smith and Pat Pack; Retold Re-told Story, Mary Lee Thomas and Marguerette Yotmg; Pantomime, Sharon Park and Janis Proctor; Radio, Edith Thayne and Rita Rae Morin. According to Mrs. Gerrie Bills, director, all five members of the play cast and the following other oth-er students will represent Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove at the state meet April 8 and 9 at the BYU, Provo: Edith Thayne, Rita Rae Morin and Laurene Laur-ene Smith. |
