Show Legion, Ladies to Hold Party at Alpine Grill Friday Legionaires mid Ladies of the Auxiliary of Pleasant Grove Post 70 will assemble at the Alpine Villa Cafe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 23, according to Commander Comman-der Irwin Jensen and Unit President Pres-ident Sylvia Peterson. The occasion occa-sion is the annual Birthday Tarty and the Americanism program. Featured as the evening's highlight high-light will be the reading of the four winning Americanism essays written by students of the local high school. The title of the essays es-says for this year is "What Americanism Amer-icanism Means to Me." First and second place winners in the Senior High School division are Eugene Brimhall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Brimhall and Kay Nagel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert G. Nagel. Both of these young people are students of Miss Estelle Fenton. In the Junior High Division, both first and second place win- ners are students in Leslie Liech-ty's Liech-ty's seventh grade. They are Dallas Isaksen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Isaksen, and Lynn Walker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Burnard Walker. All Legionaires and 'Auxiliary members are cordially invited to attend. |
