Show 24 YEARS I In the Review From tho files of tlio Keview Friday, March 11, 932 At the City Council meeting last Saturday night, Warern Beers was appointed to replace Joseph Fage as supervisor of construction on the new settling tank. Mr. Fage had resigned when his wages were reduced, by action of the council members. 24 Years Ago Plans are going forward for a city-wide work day, in order to complete the leveling and grading of the newly acquired high school campus. When the date is finally set, trucks, teams, scrapers, men and boys will be needed in goodly numbers. num-bers. There is much to be done before be-fore the track is layed, the curb installed and the football field planted to grass. 24 Years Ago Jean Paulson of this city has been assigned to the editorial staff of the Provo Herald as a news reporter. Mr. Paulson has written extensively during the past two years for local and state papers. 24 Years Ago The Junior Prom at the local high school will be held on the evening of April 8. The general committee in charge includes: Letha Walker, Calvin Swenson, Warren Kirk, Jean Smith, Wayne Gammet, Phillis Wadley, LaPriel Walker, Leone Birch and Don Walker. 24 Years Ago In the final game of the season, Pleasant Grove defeated Lehi by a top-heavy score. This makes 8 in a row for Coach Hairy Richards' team and sends them to the state tournament. The Vikings finished the Lehi game without the services of their two regular guards. Merlyn Wad-ley Wad-ley went out with a sprained knee and Romaine Clark was removed for to many personal fouls. 24 Y'ears Ago A group of young men, all former for-mer basket ball players at Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove High School, defeated a group of American Fork All-Stars All-Stars by a two-to-one score last Monday night. The P. G. players were, Ralph Smith, Leland Cullimore, Culli-more, Verl Christiansen, Spencer Hayes, Milt Kirk, and Eldon Johnson. |
