Show 4-H Leaders Attend Utah Co. Banquet M and Mis. Merrill N. War-nick, War-nick, Mr. and Mrs. Olendon Liston, Mr .and Mrs. Charles Warnick, Mr. and Mrs. Max Radmall, Mr. and Mrs. K. Warnick Swenson, Mr. and Mrs. Alroy Gillman, Mr. and Mrs. Ross West. Miss Karolyn Swenson and Miss Julia Ann Warnick all attended the Utah Co. 4-H Leaders banquet and award program at the Sunset Ward in Provo on Thursday evening, March 8th. Misses Julia Ann Warnick and Janice Proctor entertained with a pantomine skit. Among those receiving the alumni placque for outstanding contribution to 4-H work were Evalyn Hansen of Utah Power & Light Co, and Bishop Calvin Swenson Swen-son of Lehi. Mr. Swenson was a member of Merrill N. Wamick's 4-H Club, the first Dairy Club, instituted here and in the years following, he became a club leader, with his own children and all other boys of the community carrying; on. His placque this year is one of the two national awards given to 4-H Alumni. In his response at receiving the placque Mr. Swenson paid high trribute to his first leader and instigator of Dairy. 4-H Club, Mer-rrill Mer-rrill N. Warnick, whose vision for-saw for-saw what 4-H work could do for teenagers. The 1954 plaque was awarded to Charles Warnick, also a charter char-ter member of Merrill N. War-nick's War-nick's first club, and is also doing outstanding1 work in his community. commun-ity. Alroy Gillman is chairman of the Utah County 4-H Advisory Council and was a member of the banquet planning committee. Backers and donors for the out-outstanding out-outstanding affair were Utah Co.
