Show Wearther Nearly Perfect for Start of October Weather for the first week of October has been near perfect and since last Thursday has been growing more summer-like as the days advanced. A high of 83 degrees was recorded last Monday Mon-day afternoon, which is abut 10 degrees above normal for Oct. 6. Deer hunters are not too happy hap-py about the warm arid weather and many of the trigger-happy gentry are hoping for rain, Oct. rains in the valleys always bring snow in the higher elevations and snow they say, brings the deer down lower and also makes tracking easier. Duck hunters could do with a few stormy days too. As it is, the quackers and honkers are flying high'. Farmers are having no trouble at all in harvesting beets, apples, potatoes and onions and fall plowing plow-ing is proceeding unhampered. Flower lovers are happy about the profusion of autumn roses and chrysanthemums. Many gardens gar-dens in the local area are a riot of color, with better blooms to follow if the frost holds off for a week or so. The weather prophets predict no drastic changes in the next few days, except that the abnormally abnor-mally warm days could bring on a few clouds and thunder showers. show-ers.
