Show US Steel Show Features Local Lady Vednesday The women who work in Utah's steel industry at Columbia-Geneva Steel's Geneva Works near here were featured from coast-to-coast on the nationally televised tele-vised United States Steel Hour Wednesday during the first commercial com-mercial message of the show. The U.S. Steel Hour is telecast locally local-ly over Channel 5, KSL-TV at 8 p.m. The Geneva message spotlighted spotlight-ed women steelmakers Leona de la Mare, crane operator, of Pro-vo; Pro-vo; Rose Wilkin, plate and coil marker, of Lchi; Helen Ipson, slipmaker, of Orom; and Iness Teague, structural mill recorder of Pleasant Grove. Many of Geneva's secretaries were also included in the telecast tele-cast which will carry scenic views of Geneva known in the steel industry as "Mill of the Mountains" Moun-tains" nationally for an estimated estim-ated 23 million viewers. |
