Show Pleasant Grove City Appoints Planning, Adjustment Boards j A new Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment were named and approved at the regular reg-ular City Council meeting held last Monday night. The personnel of the two organizations or-ganizations was announced by Mayor Burton H. Adams as follows: Planning Commission John Conway, chairman; Paul Adam-son. Adam-son. Reed O. Walker. J. LeRoy Thome and Robert A. Cornaby. Board of Adjustment Jerry Hill, David Green, Owen Shoemaker, Shoe-maker, Lloyd Shannon and Robert Rob-ert A. Cornaby. No official chairman for the Board of Adjustment was named. A chairman will be elected at the first meeting of the group. "As our city continues to grow in population, city government becomes more complex and more problems relative to building!, streets and utility extensions have to be solved," sa'd Mayor Adams. He explained that these problems could best be solved by th-- citizens themselves, through their representatives on the Planning Commission and the Board of Adjustment. Also at Monday night's meeting meet-ing a letter from the Utah County Coun-ty Board of Health was read. The coinmun'cation contained a request for an appropriation of $500.00. to "help defray the expenses ex-penses of the Board." Since Pleasant Grove City has -already appropriated the amount of $500 to the County Health Group and since no money had been budgeted to meet the second sec-ond request, the appropriation was denied, Mayor Adams explained. |
