Show POPULAR YOUNG PEOPLE WED Mr. and Mrs. Geo. E. Kirkham of Santaquin announce the marriage marri-age of their daughter Virginia, to Sergeant John S. Gardiner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Heber Gardiner of Pleasant Grove. The marriage took place on Monday, Mon-day, April 20 in the Salt Lake LDS temple, where the young people were accompanied by the groom's parents, his two sisters and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Bullock Bul-lock and Mr. and Mrs. Myles Harris. On April 21 a reception honoring the young couple was given in the Santaquin junior high school. Mrs. Myles Harris, a sister of the bridegroom, bride-groom, was matron of honor, while the bridesmaids were near friends of the bride. Kenneth Bullock, the groom's brother, was best man. In the receiving line were the parents of the bride and groom and the bridal party. The young bride was lovely in trailing white satin and long veil. Mrs. Harris, matron of honor, wore yellow and the young bridesmaids brides-maids chose pink and blue. The evening was spent with a program and in dancing. The young couple were recipients of all possible pos-sible good wishes and an abundance of lovely and useful gifts. Both young people are popular in their respective communities and have a host of friends wishing them well in their new venture. Sergeant Gardiner returned Wednesday Wed-nesday to his duties at Burbank, Cal., where he is stationed with the U. S. armed forces. Mrs. Gardiner will continue her studies at the Brigham Young university, uni-versity, where she will graduate next June and plans to join her husband later. |
