Show Pleasant Grove News Mr. and Mrs. Dale West of Moroni sient the weekend with relatives in Pleasant Grove. Mrs. Ward Carlson and infant daughter returned home Sunday from the American Fork hospital. Mri. Leo R. Walker haj returned to her home in Garland after a week's visit with her mother, Mrs. J. W. Thorne. The members of the Primary stake board of Timpanogos stake attended a session at the LDS temple Wednesday evening. Mrs. Harvey Cobbley and baby of Monroe are visiting this week with her father, Milton Jacobs. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Hendrickson visited Thursday in Salt Lake City with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Kirk. Mrs. J. Fish of Salt Lake' City visted Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Brimhall. Mrs. Glen Gilbert and little daughter Aline of Murray have returned re-turned home after a week's visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hone. Mrs. Homer Royle and children of Lehi spent Friday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George B. Peay. Mrs. Roy Mecham and two children chil-dren spent the weekend here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Warnick, and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pierce of Salt Lake City spent Saturday evening eve-ning visiting in Pleasant Grove with Mrs. Pierce's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Gibson and family. Mrs. Edith Jordan, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Samsel and Miss Phyllis Jordan all of Brigham City, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Cullimore and family. Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Young on Wednesday evening were Mi's. Young's mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Pratt, and Mr. and Mi's. Parnell Pratt, all of Provo, and Mr. nnc? Mrs. Lawrence Pratt of Los Angeles, Cal. Mrs. George B. Peay visited in Salt Lake City with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Woodworth and son Warner. Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Olpin and two children of Ogden visited here Sunday Sun-day with Mrs. Olpin's parents, Mr and Mrs. Geo. W. Larson and Mr. Olpin's mother, Mrs. Elvira Olpin. Mrs. J. F. Peterson and Mr. and Mrs. Chester Simmonds and children chil-dren Sidney and Bonney. all of Mr. and Mrs. .Arnold G. Hendrickson Hend-rickson entertained at dinner Tuesday Tues-day evening for Mr. and Mrs. George F. WeUs and children, Lewis, Leland, William and Velda of Vineyard. Vine-yard. Mrs. Annie Kirk has returned home after visiting two weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Kirk in' Kamas. Dr. and Mrs. Dean Anderson of Provo visited Satudray evening with j Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Walker. Mrs. Sam Walker and sons Kay and Kent, left Monday to join her husband at Bountiful where they will make their home. Mrs. Garnet -ZZ. Thome has returned re-turned to her home here, after being be-ing confined for several weeks to the American Fork hospital where she has received medical care. Mrs. Fred Young returned Sundny from Idaho Falls, where she attended at-tended the funeral services of her aunt, Mrs. Rufus Pack, who was the mother of 16 children. At the request of the family, Mrs. Young contributed musical numbers at the sendees. Mrs. G. W. Larson returned home Sunday after visiting a week with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Orville L. Larson and family of Kaysville and her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence D. Olpin of Ogden. Mrs. H. C. Robertson and J. C. Peterson spent Sunday in Salt Lake where they viisted with Mr. Peterson's Peter-son's sister, Mrs. Mary Anne Anderson, Ander-son, who is ill at the LDS hospital. hos-pital. Mrs. Phyllis Keetch entertained a group of friends at her home Thursday evening. A tasty supper was served, after which the evening eve-ning was spent in progressive games with prizes going to Mrs. Afton Walker and Miss Odessa Mathews. Other guests included Mrs. Ruth Farr, Mrs. Mary Lee, Mrs. Cleo Larson, Mrs. Stella Peay, Mrs. Thelma Marrott, Mrs. Pearl McMil-len McMil-len and Mrs. Vera Mathews. Family Fam-ily members present included Mr. and Mrs. Walker, Ray Walker, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hanson of Spring-ville, Spring-ville, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Oscarson, Hensen, Madge, Joan, Joyce, Reed, Berdene, Gayle, Boyd and Brent Walker, Platte Tucker, Helen Robi-son Robi-son and Margie Anderson. Logan, spent the weekend here with Mr. and Mrs. Peterson's-daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Day. Bishop and Mrs. C. R. Clark entertained en-tertained at dinner Sunday for Mr. and Mrs. Howard Lapp, who were recently married. Covers were laid for Mr. and Mrs, Lapp, Mall Lebitor, Miss Elda Clark and the host and hostess. Mr. Lapp is stationed at the local army cam and his bride, formerly Alice Kame of Suerior, Wisconsin, arrived here last week, when the young couple were married. Mrs. Rulon Robbins entertained a group of ladies at her home Saturday Sat-urday afternoon. Bouquets of spring flowers, narcissus and tulips, were used throughout the rooms where a delicious luncheon was served at small tables. Monte Carlo whist was the afternoon entertainment, with first prize being won by Mrs. Ed Hillman, second prize by Mrs. Pari Wadley, and third, Mrs. Louise Heidenreich. The guest list included Mrs. H. W. Jacobs, Mrs. Clarence Gamette, Mrs. Thos. Fenton, Mrs. Pearl Wadley, Mrs. Merle Coombs, Mrs. Louise Heidenreich, Mrs. W. L. Green, Mrs. Armel Green, Mrs. Donna Ash, Mrs. Ed Hillman, Mrs. Vern Cullimore, Mrs. Jennie Johnson, John-son, Mrs. J. H. Armistead, Mrs. Don Gamette, and Miss Ada Robbins. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas West entertained en-tertained at a family dinner Sunday Sun-day in honor of their son, Thomas Jr., who leaves on May 1 to join the armed forces. Covers were laid for Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hardy and j family of Brigham City, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Roberts and son, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Strassburg of Lehi, Mr. and Mrs. Pecy Christian-son, Christian-son, Mr. and Mrs. Thos. West Jr., the host and hostess and Ralph and Don West. A jolly group of friends gathered for a surprise party in honor of Mrs. Leonard Harris, the occasion being her birthday anniversary. The affair was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thell Walker. A pot luck supper was served and the evening spent in games and social chat, and a very happy evening spent by Mr. and Mrs. Clarke All-red, All-red, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Gillman, Mr. and Mrs. Bell Prestwick, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Williams, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Harris, Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Walker, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Leon-ard Haris and Mr. and Mrs. Thell Walker. The Modernette club was entertained enter-tained at the home of Mrs. Eugene Beers of Midvale Wednesday. Playing Play-ing Hearts was the diversion of the afternoon, with Mrs. Beulah Lowder and Mrs. June Clark carrying off club prizes, and Mrs. Lucile Smith receiving the guest prize. A delicious lunch ys served to the following club members: Mrs. Beulah Lowder, Mrs. June Clakr, Mrs. Ruth Cobbley, Cobb-ley, Mrs. Celestia Beal, Mrs. Violet Beers, Mrs. Beth Fenton, Mrs. Mary Jacobs, Mrs. .June Choreak, Mrs. LaPriel Oscarson, Mrs. Dora Hales, Mrs. Afton Walker, Mrs. Alta Noble and the hostess.
