Show STRAWBERRY DAY ISET FOR JUNE 10 I Strawberry day will be held ani June 10, according to action taken Monday evening by the board of directors of the Pleasant Grove chamber of commerce. President Ertman Christensen was in charge of the meeting. President Christensen and the committee members are preparing a program for this year's Strawberry Straw-berry day which will include top-notch top-notch entertainers, and will be of interest to people of all ages. In fact, Pleasant Grove has always been known throughout Utah for staging one of the finest one-day celebrations in the state, and Strawberry Straw-berry day this year will prove no exception to the rule. From the standpoint of people, there are enough people in the Pleasant Grove area now to guarantee guaran-tee a good attendance at Strawberry day and vif,h tp.dditional families fam-ilies coming into Utah county each week, we should have plenty of people here for the joyful occasion. Committee reports were made, showing that members are already taking their job seriously and will sacrifice their time in making this year's celebration up to the usually high standard of other years. The committee chairmen are: Queen committee, Owen Ash; concessions, con-cessions, Harvey Smith; advertising, Calvin Swenson; decoartions, H. E. Bradley; strawberries, Ezra Swenson; Swen-son; parade, Rulon Robbins, Arza Adams; entertainment, Earl Giles, Laura Banner. |
