Show The Red Cross nursing class of Highland enjoyed a social and business busi-ness meeting at the home of Gwen Graham Wednesday evening, April 22. A Red Cross auxiliary was organized. or-ganized. A delicious lunch was served to six members and five invited in-vited guests. Mrs. Mabel Jones of Lehi, who has been the instructor, was a special guest. The members have been going to Alpine each week for the past three months where they joined with the Alpine group in receiving their instructions. instruc-tions. They have enjoyed the lessons and demonstrations very much, and expect to receive their certificates certifi-cates soon. Those who have taken the course from Highland are: Luella Binns, Josephine Duncan, Hertha Watkins, Emma Healey, Sarah Elmer, Nida Hall, Gwen Graham Gra-ham and Thelma Chidester. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Hall visited with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Pulley at Manila Saturday evening. They also called at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Hall and Mr. and Mrs. Eu-gent Eu-gent Frampton. Mrs. Dick West (LaRae Adamson) of California is visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. L. Adam-son. Adam-son. Mr. West who was stationed at San Luis Obispo with the national na-tional guard, has been transferred to another station. Mrs. Rachel Greenland was tauen to the American Fork hospital last week where she is receiving medical treatment. J. LaGrand Adamson has been confined to his bed the past week with illness. Highland News Mr. and Mrs. Melroy Graham and children, Bobbie and Betty, visited Sunday at Provo with relatives. Mi's. Annie Hall and Mrs. Mildred Strong of American Fork and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Gray of Pleasant Grove called at the Oscar Hall home Sunday where they visited with Junior Hall, who is ill. |
