Show Speaker Describes Modern City In The Holy Land Describing the ancient atmosphere of cities, of the Holyland, William Clark, speaking at the Third ward M. I. A., conjoint services Sunday, evening, told of the modern conveniences con-veniences and beauties of the new Jerusalem which has been built adjoining ad-joining the ancient city. He also told of the position of the L. D. S. church in Palestine. Mr. Clark who is a student at the B. Y. U. labored as a missionary in the places he described. Two musical numbers were presented pre-sented under the direction of Warren War-ren Kirk. "Sylvia" was sung by a ladies chorus including Kathryn Kirk, Beth Meeks, Virginia Jacobs, Winona and Ramona Monson, with Miss Thelma Farnsworth of the B. Y. U. as accompanist. A quartet including Bill Told, Warren Kirk, Virginia Jacobs and Kathryn Kirk sang "The World is Waiting for the Sunrise." The program was arranged and conducted by S. W. Hilton, president of the Y. M. M. I. A. The invocation and benediction were given by Niel Fugal and George Paul. 1 n |
