Sodium Light To Be Installed On Highway Here Installation of a sodium vapor light as a traffic safety measure on the state highway at the curve on the east side of town is expected soon, according to Mayor O. DeVere Wootton. City officials and an engineer from the state road commission inspected in-spected the site a few days ago and located the position where the light is to be installed. It will be placed on the north side of the highway, at a point a few feet west of the Adams Hatchery. Word from the road commission indicated that it would be only a matter of a few days until the equipment equip-ment would be on hand. The light and the arm support are to be furnished furn-ished by the road commission, while the pole and installation will be furnished by the city. The new light is expected to eliminate elimi-nate much of the danger at this curve, at which one fatal accident already has occurred. Only one light will be installed at this time, but if it is found advisable, another may be placed there later. o
