Show Permits Hit Record-High In Local Building Boom More permits for the building of homes were issued in Pleasant Grove during tht past year than at any time since building inspection inspec-tion records were kept in the city. At no time since the early settlement settle-ment of the community have there been so many new homes erected in any two years as Tn 1939 and 1940. These facts were revealed by the yearly report of Josiah Kemp, city building inspector. During 1940, permits for 16 homes were issued, the stimated value of which was $19,700. One of the 16 buildings was a remodeled home and a barn; five were 2 room homes with bath; 3 had only two rooms, one had 3 rooms and bath, 1 had four rooms, and 5 had four rooms and bath. Homeowners to whom the building build-ing permits were issued are: J. C. Rollins, Mrs. Mary Yancey, Russell Loader 2 homes), Mrs. Beth Fenton, Fen-ton, Irwin Jensen, D. A. Penrod, Jo-soph Heidenreich, Theodore Mar-tineau, Mar-tineau, William E. Pierce, Matthew Bezzant, Glen Richins, and William Hunter. |
