Show Mrs. Mina Shafter Laid At Rest Impressive funeral rites were conducted con-ducted Sunday, January 26, at 12:3 ll p. m. in the First ward chapel for Mrs. Mina Shafter, 66, highly respected respect-ed citizen of this community, who 'r died at the family residence January 23, following a five months illness. Bishop T. A. Greenwood was In charge of the services, which opened with a quartet under the direction . of Mrs. Louella Greenwood, ward chorister, singing "Beautiful Isle." j The invocation was offered by Morris Madsen, after which Mrs. Mary Martin Hansen of Spanish Fork sang a vocal selection "My Faith In Thee". ,M The speakers were Bishop James 0 T. Gardner, Bishop Joseph H. Storra ro and President C. E. Young. Each of i0 them told what a quiet and unassum- ,x ing, a true homemaker and a kind ,t and loving mother she had been. u Many words of consolenient were ui: conveyed to the bereaved family. u Milton Brown rendered a violin -l! solo "Ave Marie", and Ray Shelley on beautifully san "That's What God in Made Mothers For" interspersing the il: speakers. m The concluding musical number ''; was "Sometime Somewhere" by the li( quartet, after which Leo T. Shelley "! pronounced the benediction. al Interment was made in the City Cemetery, where Dr. James M. Grant U dedicated the grave. io The chapel was well filled, and the floral offerings were profuse and l1c beautiful.
