Show Lions Hold Ladies Night Social The Pleasant Grove Lions entertained enter-tained their ladies last Wednesday night. Lion President West explained explain-ed lo the ladies the purpose of the club and stated that the committee had been appointed to work on seve- ral projects which the club feels will he of benefit to the town. The com-j com-j mittees probably will be ready to j report at the next meeting and from : the projects presented the one which is thot to be of greatest importance to the community will be taken up first. A nice luncheon was served. The program during the luncheon consisted con-sisted of a string trio by Lion F. M. Faulson, Lioness Elroy West and Miss Leda Thompson; reading, Lioness Lion-ess Lyean Johnson; another selection by the trio. The remainder of the evening was spent in playing progressive cards. The grand prize was won by Lion Howard Thorn and the second prize by Lioness F. M. Poulson. The guests were the Messrs and Mesdames E. A. Beck, Alton B. Clark, J. 0. Clark. Lyean Johnson, S. A. Kirk, L. L. Larsen, J. M. Mcfar-Lane, Mcfar-Lane, Jr., Ford M. Poulson, H. S. Richards, H. N. Thorne, J. LeRoy Thorne, E. R. West, A. P. Warnick, C. O. Jensen, Lewis Olpin, Clifton Clark, Miss Leda Thompson and Rul-on Rul-on S. Dixon. |
