Walker of Garland called on Pleasant Grove relatives Wednesday while en route to Flint, Michigan, to purchase a new Chevrolet car. They will attend at-tend the Lions convention and visit points of interest in the East before returning home. Mr. and Mrs. LeGrand Fowlke of Duchesne are visiting with Mr. and The Misses Viola and Josephine West were guests of Heber relatives Saturday and Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mulliner of Idaho were week-end guests of Mrs. Mulliner's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph West. Miss Ina Miner spent July 4th and Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Miner, at SpringvDle. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Gillman 'and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Gillman enjoyed en-joyed July Fourth in Provo canyon. Mrs. Melissa Adams left Monday for Sterling, Idaho, to visit indefinitely indefi-nitely with her son, Byron Adams. Mrs. Annie Turner returned home Sunday from a three weeks' visit with her son, Arthur, in Lcs Angeles. Mrs. James D. Thorne in company with relatives of Payson, attended the funeral of Richard Stingfellow at Salt Lake, Tuesday. Mrs. J. H. Ellsworth and Mrs. Mary McKell of Payson, were Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove visitors on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Kindred attended at-tended the funeral of Zenes McNelly, a brother of Mrs. Kindred, at I Escalante last Sunday. Mrs. A. E. Fowlke of Lindon. Mr. and Mrs. J. Kemp spent July 4th and 5th on a camping trip in Strawberry valley. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Croft of Taylorsville spent the week-end at the home of Mrs. Croft's parents, I Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Cullimore. Mr. and' Mrs. Albert Huber, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Allred and family, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Carter and Mr. and Mrs. Ed. W. Lewis and son, Douglas,- spent July Fourth at Sni-der's Sni-der's Hot Pots near Heber. Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Thorne. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Peterson, Mr. and Mr. and Mrs. Harold A. Thorne and family of Salt Lake City, were week-end visitors with Mr. and Mrs. 1 James D. Thorne. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wootton and family and Mr. and Mrs. Kirkham and family left Sunday for a trip through the northwest and down the California coast. They expect to be gone about three weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Halvan Farr and family and H. E. Farr left Tuesday for Arizona and Mexico points. They expect to visit with relatives for a week. Mrs. Hilda Farr, "who has been visiting with her mother, Mrs. Johanna Bluth, for the past three weeks will return home with them. Dr. Cushing, who gave the lectures on Social Service at the B. Y. U. Leadership Week in January, gave a talk on Adolesence, at the Mothers Club at the home of Mrs. H. W. Mrs. Blaine Swenson, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Parduhn of American Fork, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Peterson ti Payson and Mr. and Mrs. Jex Boy-1 ack of Spanish Fork formed a party and spent from Friday until Sunday night at Fish Lake on a camping trip. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Farr and Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Keetch enjoyed en-joyed a trip to the Southern Utah canyons the 4?h, 5th ahd 6th of July. They report a veit" enjoyable trip. The fence around Strawberry Gardens is being built this week. It will be cf strong wire netting with steel posts. The wire will be painted paint-ed ivory and the posts green. The orchestra stand will be built on the north side of the high school shop land be painted to harmonize with Clark Thursday afternoon. A musical program and dainty refreshments refresh-ments followed the most interesting j and educational talk. Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Jones announce an-nounce the birth of a fine son on July 4th.
