Show Mrs. Thomas Warren and daughter, daugh-ter, T.Irs. Stanley Taylor and twin grandsons, all of Provo, visited last week at the' home of Mr. and Mrs. R. J- -Stice. Frizes, Fun The time of your life if you attend the Relief Society Apron-Overall dance March 17th. Mr. and Mrs. George Moss entertained enter-tained at an attractively arranged party at their home Friday evening. Hot supper was served from 7:30 to 8:30, the guests being seated as they arrived. Those not eating were entertained en-tertained with contest games. Fol-I Fol-I lowing supper Monte Carlo Whist was played at which prizes were won by Mrs. Ray Shelley and David Cahn. Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Grant attended attend-ed the funeral services held Sunday in the Sugarhouse ward for Ston-wall Ston-wall J. Stookey. Mr. Stookey has visited at the Grant home .and made many friends in American Fork. Honoring their mothers, the Junior Jun-ior girls of the Alpine stake will hold their annual Junior Festival, March 11th, in Firmage ihall. Promptly at 7:30 a luncheon will be served by the girls, their mothers, all stake officers and ward presidencies presi-dencies being guests of the evening. Following the luncheon a program consisting ,df plays, musicals and readings will be given- The girls have planned the entire program .and have had the opportunity to .express their own individuality in the menu, the table decorations ;and the program. Plans are being: .made to entertain 100 people. Sunday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Binnall were Mrs. 3E. IB. Butler Jr. of Onterio, Oregon, :and:Mr. and Mrs. W. Stow of Salt jLake City. Miss Sarah Shelley was the leading lead-ing character in one of two French plays given by the French students oi jibe ;Brigham Young university at their annual "Mardi Gras" celebration celebra-tion Wednesday. The plays were presented on the stage in the Ladies Gymnasium as a climax to the day's activities. All conversation and the plays were .given in French. Dr. and Mrs. V. F. Houston entertained enter-tained at a jhot supper and social at their home Wednesday evening. Those attending were Messrs and Mesdames Leo Meredith, David Taylor, Tay-lor, M. L. Batrd, Glen Sykes, E. H. Devey, James Chadwick, Mark Cod-dington, Cod-dington, Leigg Chipman, Stanford Briggs, Alton S.torrs, Ralph Ellison, Joseph Walton, Chris Scott, Le-Moyne Le-Moyne Despair and Lee Halstrom. The H. B. Club members were the guests of Mrs. Rulon Peterson at her home in Lehi last Friday afternoon. Mrs. David Taylor won the guest prize and Mrs. Leige Chipman the club prize. Other guests were Mesdames Mes-dames Walter B. Devey, Vern Chip-man, Chip-man, Owen Lynch, David Taylor, Melvin Grant, Clarence Grant and Miss Lillie Shafter :of this city and Mrs. Ruel Evans of Lehi, Am. Fork News Mr. and Mrs- Leo T. Shelley have received word of the birth of a son, March 1st, at the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Shelley of Fort Hall, aside March 17th for the big Prize Dance given by the Relief Society. adv. Miss Merline Gardner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs- E. Ray Gardner, was a member of the cast which presented "The Taming of the Shrew," in College hall, Provo, February Feb-ruary 27, The play was taken to Richfield on Saturday and presented present-ed to an enthusiastic audience there. |
