Show Many Attend First Ward Reunion Over 600 members of the First ward enjoyed the reunion social Wednesday afternoon and evening. Commencing &t 7 p. m- a delicious lunch was served cafeteria style which in itself was an outstanding event. At 8:15 the following program was given: Prayer, S. F. Grant; singing, "Come, Come Ye Saints"; address of welcome, Bishop T- A. Greenwood; reading, Mrs. Jarvis Aydelotte; solo, Rulon Nicholes, accompanied on the violin by Milton Brown and on the piano by Mrs. Owen Humphries; ward paper, Mrs- Wilson Cunningham; Cunning-ham; two selections by a double male quartet under the direction of Thornton Young; remarks, President Clifford E. Young; stunt, "Happy Family." Carnations were presented to the oldest man and the oldest lady present. pres-ent. The bishop and his counselors, the visiting bishops and President Young were also honored with flowers. flow-ers. The remainder of the evening was spent in dancing-Mrs. dancing-Mrs. A. F. Gaisford and. Clyde Nelson Nel-son of the activity department of the M. I. A- were in charge of the program. Mrs. B- H. Wright and two members from each of the ward organizations were in charge of the refreshments and the Primary officers offi-cers conducted games and dancing in the afternoon for the children of the ward and served refreshments to over 200. |
