Show U ' High School News EDNA ANDERSON, Reporter The sophomore class presented the assembly program an February 26.' Virginia Shelley, class program chairman, presided. The following program was presented: Invocation, Mr. Gardner; cello solo, , Mildred Anderson entitled, "When Irish Eyes are Smiling"; reading,- Wayne C. Booth entitled, "Legend of Service"; Serv-ice"; trumpet solo, Cecil Hanson; vocal solo, Mack Cunningham; reading, read-ing, Maxine Taylor, entitled "The Wedding Fee"; Jay Anderson, vocal solo; piano duet, Elaine and Wendell Smith, and stunt by the sophomores. On February 28 pep assembly was conducted toy the yellmasters. The following program was presented: Music by the stunt band; vocal solo, Clayton Green, entitled "Roll Along Prarie Moon"; tap dance, Donna Lou Daivs; reading, John Walker; and a talk by Stanley Peters. Mack Cunningham and Virgil Jor-genson Jor-genson were hosts to the Beethoven Club Monday evening. Lucille Bird I gave the lesson on the life of Robert Shuman; Zola Grant gave the current cur-rent music events; Evelyn Peck rendered a piano solo, and Le Mar Clements sang "Smiling Through". After the program a tasty lunch was served. o |
