Show Sister of Pleasant Grove Resident Dies of Accident Mrs. Hilda Meredith, wife of J. Franklin Meredith, was accident!' killed in a.u automobile accident 1 Sunday evening. She suffered seve-ral seve-ral fractured ribs, a punctured lung i and a. probable fractured pelvis. Mrs. I Meredith's death was the first in the j state resulting from an automobile accident in the year 1933. Mrs. ! Meredith alighted from an east j bound street car at Seventh East street, walked directly across the intersection in-tersection and into the path of an automobile driven by John D. Chamberlain, 19, also cf Salt. Lake. For many years the family made their home in Pleasant Grove where Mrs. Meredith was active in L. D. S. church work, having served as president pres-ident of the Manila ward Relief Society. So-ciety. She moved to Salt Lake City in 1927. Surviving are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. George M. Stephens, Green River, Wyoming; and Mrs. J. Glenn Wright, Deming, New Mexico; Mexi-co; four sons, Elwood F., Lyman J., Delbert a.nd Reed W. Meredith, Salt Lake City; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Ludwigson, and Mrs. Nephi Radmall, a brother, Niels L. Monson, a step father, Jens Monson, all of Pleasant Grove, and also three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held today to-day at 1 p. m. in the Tenth ward L. D. S. chapel in Salt Lake City. The speakers will be Wilford W. Warnick, president of the Timpano-gos Timpano-gos stake, L. M. Atwood, bishop of the Manila ward, and Prof. J. H. Paul of Salt Lake City. Burial will be in the Salt Lake City cemetery. n |
