Show County Officials Return From National Con. County Comiissioncr Sylvan W. Clark of Leld. County Clerk Clarence Clar-ence Grant of American Fork, County Coun-ty Treasurer Andrew Jensen and County Commissioner Theron Hall, arrived home Sunday evening, after attending a convention held for county officials of the United States, at Rock Island, Illinois. En route to Illinois they visited lr. various states. They traveled through Colorado, down into Mexico, into the comer of Texas, in Oklahoma, part of Kansas, Missouri and Illinois. Illi-nois. They made it a practice to stop at the county seats of at least two counties in each state, where they met with officials of each county coun-ty and studied methods used in handling affairs in the various counties. The convention at Rock Island was very instructive and interesting, they report. The officials of the various states exchanged ideas and various methods used in handling county affairs in their respective spates and counties. Sixteen delegates were present from Utah and were successful in ! bringing the national convention to jOgden for 1939. The Utah county group came direct di-rect home following the convention and report a splendid trip. They left here on May 19. |
