Show Pleasant Grove Locak Everett West spent three days at Logan visiting Sam Hilton and Abel Ekins, returning Tuesday. Miss Faye Tomlinson is spending the week with her sister, Marie Tomlinson, at Logan. Marie is attending at-tending the Utah State Agricultural college there. I Raymond Walton and Eddie Per- ry stopped here Saturday on their return from Los Angeles, to visit at the Duane Harper home. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Mecham of Hiawatha visited with President and Mrs. Wilford W. Warnick of the Memorial day week-end holiday. Memorial day visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Duane Harper were Silas Thorne and family of Bingham, Leo Thorne and family of Copperton, and William Thorne of American Fork. Mrs. Homer Royle of Lehi visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George B. Peay Wednesday. Sunday visitors visi-tors were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Woodworth, Mr. and Mrs. Golden Peay, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Jacobs, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Peay, and Mr. and Mrs. Ethan Peay. Mrs. Fanny Clark of Salt Lake City called on Memorial day. The Kourteous Clothing club met Tuesday at the home of their leader, lead-er, Mrs. Beulah Bradley. The following fol-lowing officers were elected: Mary Jo West, president; Marylin Richards, Rich-ards, vice president; Mary . Burns, secretary; Lucille Jense, cheer leader; lead-er; Beth Meeks, reporter. The 4-H group will study costume designing and aaily courtesy as club projects. Mr. and Mrs. Roundy Thorne of Magna entertained at dinner Sunday Sun-day at their home in honor of Mrs. Mary Olsen's seventy-seventh birthday. birth-day. Mrs. Olsen is the mother of Mrs. Thorne. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Smith of American Fork also attended. Four-H clubs are being organized in Pleasant Grove for the coming season's work. Clubs getting started are the home science group of which Mrs. Beaulah Bradley is leader; clothing groups, Mrs. Alired; boys', Laura Robertson and Mrs. Inez Burns; girls', Mrs. Iva Carlson; Mrs. Lucille Walker, foods; Mrs. Edna Gourley, sewing. Miss Helen Watson of Park City visited Saturday at the J. P. Fugal home here. Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Overlade of Salt Lake City visited relatives and friends in Pleasant Grove Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Erval Christensen and Mr. and Mrs. D. Orlo Allen of Sharon visited- with friends and relatives rel-atives here the fore part of the week. Mrs. Kate Lowry and son Bert of Tooele visited Mr. and Mrs. O. Be-mis Be-mis here early in the yeek. Louise West left Wednesday morning for Fish Lake, where she will be employed during the summer sum-mer tourist season. Mr. and Mrs. Burton H. Adams and Mrs. Melissa Adams visited in Springville and Spanish Fork on Memorial day. Mr. and Mrs. Bernell Luke and Lamott Luke of Midway are visiting with Nelda Hofelt here. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Smith of Magna visited Monday with Mrs. Smith's parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Gamett. Mrs. J. P. Fugal, who has been confined to her bed for some three months due to illness, is gradually recovering. Her many friends will be pleased to learn of her improvement. improve-ment. Milton Adamson came in from the sheep herd near Soldier Summit to visit with his family here Sunday. Visiting at the Adamson home is Mrs. Adamson's mother, Mrs. O. W. Flygare of Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Warnick and son, Peter, of Ogden, were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Mer-rill N. Warnick. Later they motored to Provo to visit with Mrs. C. P. Warnick and Miss Effie Warnick. Visitors on Memorial day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Junius West were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Howarth and daughter and two guests from Salt Lake City, Mrs.- F. Fariclough of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Otto Mitchell of American Fork. The Mutual Improvement association associa-tion and Sunday School- offiicers and their partners of Manila ward held a canyon party at Mutual Dell, Saturday evening. A "weenie" roast, community singing, and campfire program was enjoyed by the 30 persons attending. |
