Show Special Fire Works Display Secured One of the largest and most colorful col-orful fireworks displays ever "put off" in American Fork will be fixed on the evening of July 29th at the Annual Poultry Day celebration. The display will be the last feature on the evening program, which will be staged at the high school athletic ath-letic field. In charge of Albert Tregaskis and under the direction of the firemen, the spectacular aerial and set-piece display will be fired. Construction of the necessary sets, some of which require huge frameworks, has already al-ready commenced and will be completed com-pleted by next Wednesday. Picture sets of unusual beauty and brilliance are included in the fireworks fire-works show. The first piece, a lighted light-ed 2x20 foot sign, picks out the word "Welcome" in letters of brilliant fire. The "Incandescent Golconda" presents pre-sents "a beautiful shower design having hav-ing a fire frontage of 30x30 feet. When lighted it throws an intense white light and great cascades of flame spread out in all directions to I form the design. i A shower of scintillating gold fire, embellished with brilliant colors are the features of the Jeweled Cascades the third set piece. A Musical Battle Wheel creates a huge arc of gold fire, with brilliant bril-liant colors in the center. It is climaxed cli-maxed with a volley of sharp explosions. ex-plosions. The Girondola, a set piece device, is mounted on top of a high pole, when lighted it first spins around like a wheel then suddenly flies off the pole and climbs high into the sky, a gyrating, whirling wheel of flame. The final numbers is a stirring set piece of the United States flag. The red and w,hite stripes and blue stars appear to be flung from a golden staff. The size of the flag is about 6x6 feet. Beautifully colored aerial torches, brilliant rainbow bombshells, funny fish rockets, dead white flames, brilliant bril-liant stars of crimson and gold, blue and orange, flames shooting from screetching rockets, butterfly and willow mines and rockets and even snowflakes, along with the specially booming detonations, all are included includ-ed in the gorgeous display. Eighty-eight different numbers are included in the aerial display, which will be equally as spectacular as the set pieces. Floral eruptions, roaring rockets, flying fish bombshells, bomb-shells, butterfly mines, gala streavi-er streavi-er rockets are a few of the many special features which will create plenty of noise and much beauty. n |
