Show Great Improvements Improve-ments at Utah Co. Fair Grounds The Utah County Fair grounds at Provo have been the scene of much activity the past few weeks in preparation pre-paration for Utah County's 1937 Fair. Over 2700 feet of new fencing has been constructed around the grounds. A modern, up-to-the-minute Rodeo Carral, constructed under the direction of Coburn and Sorenson is being completed. The rodeo grounds are being lighted for night performances and promises to be one of the best of its kind in the west. Some $4000 has been spent in the erection of a new grandstand at the grounds and enables the audience to get an excellent view of the rodeo grounds and arena. The committee reports that the completion of the grandstand fills a need long felt by the Utah county citizens. Exhibits of various kinds are now being planned and prepared for the fair this year. Each community in the county will contribute to the exhibits. ex-hibits. The 4-H clubs, Civic clubs, schools, etc., have commenced prep-erations prep-erations for one of the biggest and best county fairs ever staged in Utah county. All kinds of handiwork, handi-work, farm produce, canned goods, fruits and vegetables, poultry products, pro-ducts, milk products, etc., will be exhibited. Admission to the fair grounds and the exhibits is free. There will be an excellent rodeo and horse pulling and other contests. con-tests. Monte Young and his entertaining enter-taining groups will be the stellar attraction of this year's fair. |
