Show ! Allen named new Deseret Bank pres. ?TWy-:WS - ' ''::',::S ! ( 1 1 .... t ' .' - WmWi till At the February 10 meeting of the stockholders of Deseret Bank, Hal J. Allen was named to succeed Kay L. Jacobs as president. Jacobs, who has been with the bank since 1946, will assume the position of Chairman of the Board. Allen has been with Deseret Bank for the past 22 years. Prior to his appointment as president, Allen served as senior vice president. He is a graduate of BYU and the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington. He is past-president of the Pleasant Grove Chamber of Commerce, a past member of the Orem City Planning Commission and member of the executive committee of the Utah Bankers Association. He presently serves as chairman of Sharon's Cultural, Educational and Recreational Association (SCERA). Other organizational changes at the bank include the appointment of Randy J. Hoyt to the position of vice president of the Pleasant Grove office from the office of assistant vice president. Craig W. Forsyth was named as senior vice president and manager of the Pleasant Grove office. He previously served as vice Hal J. Allen president and manager. And, Michelle Mallinson was named cashier at the Provo office. Deseret Bank was organized 77 years ago and was originally known as the Bank of Pleasant Grove. It currently has six offices in Utah County - Provo, Orem, Lindon, Pleasant Grove, American Fork and Lehi. |
