Show f Hevipw - Wednesday, March 2, 1988 - Page 5 v Ryan Lee Carlson receives rank of Eagle in special ceremonies ' : 1 - , . i I' n v 'i Ryan Lee Carlson, son of Bishop Leland R. and Betty Jean Carlson, received his Eagle Badge at the Boy Scout Banquet and Court of Honor held Feb. 17 in the Pleasant Grove Eleventh Ward. Ryan, 15, actually earned his badge while he was 14 years of age. For his Eagle project, Ryan cleaned the Grove Creek ditches and removed debris from the head gates during the high water season to prevent flooding. Ryan enjoys sports. He plays basketball with his ward and plays soccer with the Pleasant Grove High School team. He also likes camping and hiking. Ryan enjoys attending outings with his family. A good student, Ryan is a ninth grader at Pleasant Grove Junior High. He is a member of Varsity Team 6833. Sharon Atwood, owner of the craft store, has agreed to serve as the troop's sponsor which includes helping the troop to have a place to meet and to help with supplies when needed.
