Three children in the Jim and Linda Phillips family were all born on the same day, Oct. 25. Linda said that she read some-where that some family some-where had five children born on the same day. This does not include any mul-tiple births. Linda reported that Steve was born on Oct. 25, 1974, Scott on Oct. 25, 1978, and Kristen on Oct. 25, 1980. The dates they had been ex-pected were Steve, Oct. 22; Scott, Oct. 23; and Kristen, Oct. 28. Steve was born about 11:30 a.m., Scott at 3:30 p.m., and Kris-ten at 7:30 p.m. All the babies were posterior, too. Poor Steve, he has had to have his birthday party cancelled twice because his mom was in the hospi-tal having the other two. Linda said she tries to let each child have her or his own separate birthday party, sometimes stretch-ing them out over two or three days. She said that with three birth-days it is kind of like an early Christmas. Each child gets his or her own birthday cake, too. If she has more than one party on one day, Linda just hurries and changes the decorations. She noted that both Steve and Scott had stitches in their heads for their 18 month birthdays. Kristen was the first girl in the family and followed six boys. Linda was upset that her first little girl had to come on the same day as two of the boys. There are eight children in the Phillips family. Number five son, Adam, shares his birthday with Jim's mother. There are numerous other close calls, too, Linda ex-plained. Three of the Phillips have birth-days in August, including Dad. Sharing the same birthdate are, L-- Scott, Kristen and Steve Phillips. Their birthday was Oct. 25.
