Hoelscher Hyrum Chase Nicol, age 81, died Sept. 19, 1987 in American Fork, He was born March 19, 1906 in Heber City to Hyrum Chase and Isabella Crawford Murdoch Nicol. He married Anne Bussio Nov. 24, 1935 in Berkeley, Calif. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Washington D.C. LDS Temple After working in construction for 10 years, he was employed by U.S. Steel for 36 years in Pittsburg, Calif, until he retired in of ' 1 I I ! I t I f n I "f 1 1970. Va.; one son, Alan Chase Nicol, Harrisonburg, Va.; 12 grandchildren; four brothers: Thomas Murdoch Nicol and John Murray, Nicol, both of Orem; Kenneth Crawford Nicol, An-tioch, An-tioch, Calif.; Alma Victor Nicol, Midway; one sister, Mrs. Ray (Donnavieve) Nicol Smith. St. Ceorge. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at noon in the American Fork 21st Ward. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services. He was a member of three honor societies: Pi Mu Ep-'"" Ep-'"" -non (mathematics), I , Y I n"" Phi Lambda Upsilon (chemistry); Chi Sigma (chemical engineering). He was a past member of the Rotary Club, a member of the Masonic Lodge, a former member of the American Chemical Society and the American Institute of Mining and Metallurgical Engineers. Enginee-rs. Survivors include his wife of American Fork; three daughters: Mrs. David (Jean) Terhune, Klamath Falls, Ore.;' Mrs. Carolos (Martha) Rigby, Alexandria, Va.; Mrs. Elizabeth Ann McGinley, Boulder, Mont.; a stepson: Charles Welsh, Salt Lake City; stepdaughter: step-daughter: Mrs. Kerry (Nancy) Durrant, American Fork; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren. He was born June 6, 1908 in Coalville to " James Edward and Stella Speakman Allen. He married Dorothy Robbins Nov. 25, 1938 in Ely, Nev. He was a building contractor and built " tames in Utah and Nevada. He was a member of the Carpenter Car-penter Union Local 1498. He worked heavy construction all over the western U.S. He helped build the Geneva Steel Plant. He served a ? I ii mission for the LDS Church to the Samoan Islands. He retired from Contractors in 1964 and started Allen Food Service Equip- Norma Williams, Mrs. Ruth Robertson, Mrs. Cheer Nielson, all of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Don (Florence) Nielson, Toppenish, Wash. Private funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 20, at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary. Burial was in the Provo City Cemetery. Lori D. Kolhoff Provo, and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Kolhoff, Allegan, Mich. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, 10 a.m., St. Peters Catholic Church in American Fork, 634 N. 600 E. Rosary will be recited Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at St. Peters Church. Burial- at-East-Lawn- Memorial Gardens Cemetery. J Lori Delphina Kolhoff, 9, of Orem, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 1987 in the University of Utah Hospital from leukemia. She was born Jan. 9, 1978 in Provo to Allen Albert and -Mary Ann riibarri Kolhoff. At the time of her death she was attending in Orem. She as a member of the St. Peters Catholic Church in American Fork.
