'Lj Lntl Manila School puppets honor U.S. Constitution Manila Elementary School students delighted this past week to the presentation of the, "America's Treasure" presentation telling of the the value of the Constitution. The program lasted 45 minutes, and used marionettees, soft hand puppets and large body puppets. The program out of Salt Lake City was presented by Strings 'N Things and Sound Column. The school children, their parents and even preschool pre-school age children were completely facinated in the learning medium. The subjects covered in the program were seizure and confiscation, con-fiscation, freedom of election and the right to vote, freedom of religion, freedom of travel, freedom of speech and press, women's rights, the three branches of government and the work ethic in America. The 23 characters that entertained the children included Benjamin Franklin, Eddington B. Eagle and Thomas Turkey. They all talked and sang about the freedoms that the Constitution provided. |
