Harvey will celebrate her 90th birthday on Sunday, September 27, 1987. Her family will - have an open house in her honor to '. be held at the home of James and '. Barbara Harvey, 4306 West 9200 . North, Pleasant Grove, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. ; All friends and relatives are in- vited to call and visit with her on ; this special day. No gifts, please. Arvilla was born in American - Fork, Utah, to Hans and Sarah - Christensen. She graduated from " American Fork High School and : then attended Brigham Young ' University. She has lived in ' Pleasant Grove since Leo P. ; Harvey brought her here as a bride ;- on October 3, 1917. - She is the mother of six children, all boys, Richard Harvey, killed in action in World War II; Eugene Harvey and J.H. Harvey, of American Fork; Kenneth, James and David Harvey, all live in Pleasant Grove. Arvilla has always been active in church and community affairs. She has served in all the auxiliary organizations, as president of both YMMIA and Relief Society. She was a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary and served in many capacities, including president of local and district units. She is a member of the Mother's Study Club and served as chairman of their 50th anniversary party. She has been a Pink Lady at the American Fork Hospital and was the first president of the Pleasant Grove High School P.T.A. In 1967, she was chosen Pleasant Grove and District Mother of the Year.
