I . 1 Booster Club seeks alumni for annual football game Football alumni from past Viking teams will be recognized at the Oct. 1 PGHS football game vs. Uintah during halftime. The Booster Club is in hopes of getting past football players to the school and become acquainted with the newly formed Booster Club. Names are being collected by Belle Henry, 785-485- and Jim Kelley, 785-441- Please contact them and help them out with this task. Alumni will want to plan to join the Booster Club and help support the activities to promote school spirit. Also in conjunction with this night will be a class competition between the seniors, juniors and sophomores to see which class can get the highest number of students to at-tend. Parents will count in your favor, too, so bring mom and dad to an exciting game. Let's beat the total attendance record with alumni, parents and studentbody. Grantsville jam Slell He Robt Ely, He Viking ladies lose big one, but then win Pleasant Grove High School Girl's Volleyball lost a heartbreaker on Tuesday to Timpview, but then came back to soundly beat Uintah on Thursday. The Sophomore and J.V. teams beat their competitors on Tuesday at home. Both teams played well, proving to be strong against Timp-view in some tough matches. The Varsity team started strong, then suddenly started to stammer in their attempt. Timpview, with their strong hitter, proved to be too much against P. G. J.V. worked hard in their first game against Uintah, beating them 15-- Mindi Hall and Jenny Wells each served 4 points in that game. In the last two games, however, P.G. seemed to have a hard time, losing 4-- and 5. Varsity had a real run for the money in all three of their games against Uintah. In their first game, the score was close the entire game, ending for Uintah, 13-1- In the next game, the score was again close, but this time ending for P.G., 15-1- P.G. then started their last game with Erin Measom serving three in a row and Mindi Hall and Kristine Larsen ending up with six points between them.
