Show MMIMimMWMMMnaiMMiMWgimii tMiwi Citizen, Press, Review, Wed., May 15, 1985 - Page 12 Young Mothers to meet Bonnie Perkins, mother of six, will speak at the Utah Valley Young Mothers district meeting Tuesday, May 21, at 7 p.m. in the Orem City Center, 56 North State, in room 106. Mrs. Perkins' topic will be "Care Enough to Give the Very Best." She will discuss how to earn and learn patience and how to relieve stress and pressures in dealing with children. There will be a question and answer period. Mrs. Perkins has been teaching her children at home for the past two and one-hal- f years. She believes parents need to make more com-mitments to their children. Mrs. Perkins is an area coor-dinator for Home Base and a girl scout troop leader. Young Mothers District Com-munity Meeting is open to any mothers in the community who are interested and there is no charge. Young Mothers is a support group for mothers of all ages. Young Mothers is an affiliate of American Mothers. The fitting and showing exposition takes place June 8 at the Ellsworth Center on BYU campus. Entries are limited to and FFA members in good standing. There are two age groups, 3 and 9 years of age, in six categories: dairy goats, dairy cattle, hogs, horses, sheep and beef cattle. The entry fee is $10 per animal. The family prayer was given by Don Fordham, a son. The prelude and postlude were played by Rosalie Jacklin. The invocation was by Jack Cook. The life sketch was by Shellee Fordham Larsen, a grand-daughter. The grand-children sang, "Families Can Be Together Forever", and "I Am A Child of God", accompained by Zoe James. President Max Blackham was a speaker. Nila Fordham and Debbie Hansen sang, "Beside the Still Waters", accompanied by Zoe James. Bishop Frederick R. (Bob) Shoell spoke and remarks were given by Bishop Thad Adams. Rosalie Jacklin and Bill Anderson played an organ-pian- o duet, "The Blue Danube". The benediction was by President Paul For-dham, a brother. The dedication of the grave was by Steve Fordham, a son. Services were held Saturday, May 4, in the Timpanogos Stake Center. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Bishop Thad Adams of the Pleasant Grove Fif-teenth Ward. Pallbearers were Larry Fordham, Gerry Fordham, Todd For-dham, Christian For-dham, Bill Jarvis, Darrell Fordham, Tyran Ormond, and Howard Mills. Honorary pallbearers . Blake Taft Fordham, 71, died Wednesday, May 1, 1985 at American Fork Hospital. He was born Nov. 23, 1913 at Bicknell to Amos Pierre and Delia Taft Fordham. He married Fay Metta Covington Dec. 11, 1934 in the Manti LDS Temple. He received education in Salt Lake and Utah County. He was a farmer for many years in Grover. He later went to work at Geneva Steel. He retired after 30 years. He was active in youth programs, was city recreation director for 12 years and was instrumental in getting baseball programs started in Pleasant Grove. He was a founder and director of the Utah Baseball for Boys Association. He received the Silver Beaver and the Second Miler awards in scouting. He was region i i r 7 athletic director for the general board of the MIA. He was active in the LDS Church and served as bishop of the Pleasant Grove 4th Ward and was a member of the Tim-panogos Stake High Council. Survivors include his wife; five sons and three daughters: Larry Fordham, Orem;' Gerry Fordham, Boise, Idaho; Don Fordham, Madison, Ind.; Mrs. Bill (Beverly) Jarvis, American Fork; Steve Fordham, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Scott (Connie) Ormond and Mrs. Howard (Wendy) We want to express --The Blake Fordham Family I our heartfelt love and appreciation to all of you who were so kind, thoughtful and sup-portive at the time of the illness and death of Blake Taft Fordham, our much loved husband and father. Ellis Varvilla Taft, 84, died Wednesday, May 8, 1985 in American Fork. He was born June 4, 1900 in (Thurber) Bicknell, the son of Seth and Olive Ethel Lyman Taft. He married Edith Loretta Bushnell April 7, 1931 in the Salt Lake" LDS Temple. He was a High Priest in the American Fork Third Ward. He had served four missions for his church - to the NaVajo-Zun- i Mission, the East Central States, the Western States and a two-ye- ar stake mission. He had also served as president of the Mutual Im-provement Association, as a counselor in the bishopric and as a teacher and superin-tendent in the Sunday School. He was a carpenter, blacksmith and dairyman. He is survived by his wife of American Fork; one son and four daughters: Ellis M. Taft, Logan; Mrs. Rex (Nina) Gray, Ferron; Mrs. Jesse (Ann) Wagstaff, Beltsville, Md.; Mrs. Alvin (Janice) Ott, Fair-banks, Alaska ; Mrs. Kent (Mary) Gines, American Fork; 31 grandchildren; and 30 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ada Mills. Services were held Monday, May 13, in the American Fork Third Ward. Burial was in the American Fork City Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Bishop Wendell Terry of the American Fork Third Ward. Casket bearers were Jerry Gray, Bruce Gray, John Downard, Kenneth Gray, Calvin Mills, and Sherwin Massey. The honorary casket bearer was Scott Gines. The family prayer was by Ellis Mason Taft, a son. The prelude and postlude were played by Lydia Kirkpatrick. Howe Karissa Janae Howe, infant daughter of Jack E. and Kristin Keate Howe, died Wednesday, May l, 1985 shortly after birth at the American Fork Hospital. Her parents are members of the LDS Church living in the Grove Ward of Pleasant Grove. Survivors include her parents: , three sisters, Amy Lee, Karen Lynn and Melody Jean Howe, all Pleasant Grove; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Elliot Howe, and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Keate, all Pleasant Grove; Mr. and Mrs. John E. Keate, Overton, Nev. Graveside services were held at the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Delearl Densley Madsen Expression of Gratitude The family of Alma Andersen Madsen wishes to express heartfelt thanks to all of you for the kindness ' and thoughtfulness you showed to us during the passing of our husband and father. Madsen Clifford, Don and Calvin Madsen Colleen Manning Betty Jean Miner Annette Madsen Delearl Densley, 73, of Lehi, died Friday, May 10, 1985 in the American Fork Hospital. He was born Oct. 18, 1911 in Riverton, a son of Daniel and Elizabeth E. Bodell Densley. He married Edith Kirkham on Aug. 13, 1932 in Salt Lake City. He was raised and educated in Riverton. He worked in the Lark j mines in his early life before going to work at U.S. Steel Geneva Works. He was em- -' ployed there for 28 years as a shearman. He was a member of 4 the LDS Church. He is survived by his wife of Lehi; two sons: Dale E. Densley of Sandy and Ross M. Densley of Midvale; nine grandchildren; five great grand-children; three step great grandchildren; one brother and one sister: Calvin J. Densley, Washington; and Minnie McMullin of South Jordan. A son, Kay Delearl Densley, preceded him in death. Services were Tuesday, May 14, in the Wing Mortuary Chapel. ' Burial was in the Lehi City Cemetery.
