The new facilities has 18 lanes in comparison to 10 at the old lanes, Mr. Wadley said. He added for the first time in the past several years, there are open lanes for public-bowling public-bowling during the evening hours. The new facility also features underground ball return, central heating and air conditioning, air filters, and a "doubled in size" snack bar, an expanded locker area, and a large game area. A daytime nursery is also being provided. Crews have been busy for the past several weeks moving equipment from the old facility, installing and preparing the new lanes for use, and generally getting ready for business. Another feature of the new lanes is "plenty of parking." The new and expanded Jack and Jill Lanes is open for business at its new location, 10f South 700 Kast, and will observe a grand opening on Saturday, Feb. 23. Grand opening ceremonies are planned for 2 to 5 p.m. with a ribbon cutting at 2 p.m., according to Jack Wadley, owner. Frizes will be given away throughout the afternoon, including free games. There will be free hot dogs and drinks, and a disc jockey from KFTN will be on hand for the activities. In addition, all league bowlers are invited to participate in a colored pin tournament from 3 to 4:30 p.m. A new contest will start Saturday with balls and merchandise given away.
