Temple ; V 1 Michelle Arnoldus, daughter of Geniel Hone Arnoldus Smith, American Fork, will marry Douglas Jay Nelson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Nelson, Bear River City, Sept. 21 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. A reception will honor the couple that evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the American Fork 8th Ward, 310 N. 100 East, and on Saturday, Sept. 22, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the home of the groom's parents, 4645 W. 5900 North, Bear River City. All friends and relatives are cordially invited to attend. Bridal attendants are the sisters of the bride: Joy, as maid of honor; Valerie, Jacqueline and Jill as bridesmaids. Best men are the brothers of the groom: Michael, David, Jason; and the brother of the bride, John H. Smith. Honored guests will be the grandparents of the bride and groom, Alta N. She will attend Utah State University in the fall and graduate in the spring with elementary education as her major. Duane (Duke) Major, Pleasant Grove. The couple will exchange vows in the Logan LDS Temple Friday, Sept. 21. An open house will honor them on Thursday, Sept. 20, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Major's home, 9989 N. Canyon Road, Pleasant Grove. The prospective groom is a graduate of Pleasant Grove High School and Utah State University. He served a mission in Asuncion, Paraguay. In high school he was active in FFA and was a State Farmer. The six-wee- k series are being taught Tuesday evenings at 7 at the Diet Center of Pleasant Grove, 140 South Main, No. 5. The classes are a regular part of the Diet Center program, and focus around the basics of nutrition, digestion, obesity, the role of physical activity and what to do about everpresent sugar.
