He Was born May 1, 1984, in Provo. His parents are members of the LDS Church, living in the Green River, Wyo., Seventh Ward. They were formerly members mem-bers of the Pleasant Grove Sixth Ward. Survivors include his parents of Green River, wyo.; grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Lyman, Sevy, Pleasant Grove; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Gilbert Lowry, Card-ston, Card-ston, Alberta Canada; great grandparents: Hazel Sevy, Panguitch; Parley Ford, Provo. Welsh, Jr., 63, American Fork, died Monday, May 7, 1984, at Veterans Medical Center in Salt Lake City. He was born Aug. 15, 1920 in Fairfield, Ohio to Earl J. Sr. and Ruth Faulk Welsh. He married Thelma Switzler, Oct. 26, 1945, in Reno, Nev. He was educated in Ohio schools and graduated from New Waterford High School. He attended Kent State University. He served with the Marine Corp during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He was awarded the Purple Heart. Following his release from military service, he married and made his home in New Waterford, Ohio, for 14 years. They moved to Arizona and then to Utah County 21 years ago. He had been a teamster truck driver. He was a member of the Jehovah Witness congregation. Survivors include his wife, American Fork; one son and one daughter: Charles E. Welsh, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Kerry (Nancy) Durrant, American Fork; two grandchildren; grand-children; his mother, Mrs. Joseph (Ruth Welsh) Robson, Salem, Ohio; one brother, George Welsh, Moriarty, N.M.; two' step-brothers and one step-sister! Buzz Robson, East Palestine, Ohio; Donald Robson, Albuquerque, N.M.; Mrs. Jim (Mary) Griffith, East Palestine, Ohip. Services were held Thursday, May 10, at the Berg Drawing Room Chapel. Burial was in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery. Charles A. Hullinger Charles Adelbert Hullinger, 86, Pleasant Grove, died Friday, May 11, 1984 at the American Fork Hospital. He was born May 12, W97 in Vernal to Harvey John and Annie Minerva Cook Hullinger. On June 22, 1921 he married Arda lazel Johnson in Vernal. The marriage as later solemnized in he Salt Lake LDS Temple. His wife died April 9 1981. . He was a high priest the Pleasant Grove 5th Ward. . He attended schools 111 the Uintah Basin. He as a farmer and later 'carpenter. He is survived by 7e sons and three aughters; Arden Albert Hullinger, Old y. ook, Conn.; J- Hullinger and f ny Dee Hullinger, Pleasant Grove' Mrs. Richard (Joy) Kirk, Provo; Mrs. Les (Alda) Jensen, North Ogden; and Mrs. Boyce (Carlie) Williams, Henderson, Nev.; a brother and three sisters: Lawrence Hullinger, Long Lake, Calif. ; Voilet Raine, Redding, Calif. ; Phoebe Parry, Vernal; and Laura Sproul, North Las Vegas, Nev.; 20 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Services were held Monday at the Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Bishop Frank Mills of the Pleasant Grove Fifth Ward. Pallbearers were Bruce Hullinger, Stephen Hullinger, Kenny Butterfield, Ronnie Butterfield, Jeff Hullinger and Lee Kirk. The family prayer was given by Greg Hullinger, a grandson. The prelude and postlude were played by Donna Hall. The invocation in-vocation was by Richard Kirk, son-in-law. The life sketch was given by Dennis Hullinger, grandson, and remarks were given by Bishop Doyle Young. A vocal duet was sung by Ilene and Kathy Parker, "I Know That My Redeemer Lives." Speakers were Dr. Arvin D. Hullinger, nephew, and President Leon R. Walker. Remarks were given by Bishop Mills. Ilene and Kathy Parker sang "Oh My Father" and the benediction was given by Melvin C. Parry, a nephew. Dedication of the grave in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery was by Benny Hullinger. son. |
