Others serving next year j be Joan Merrill as vice resident and president-elect; Mary Davis as secretary; Jean Draney as treasurer; Tom Carlile as principal vice president; and Fran Gardner as teacher vice president. Rosalie Schnles, president of the high school PTA this year, conducted the meeting. She was presented with a gift by Kathy Fryer who has served as vice-president vice-president this past year. Rosalie reported that the counselors at the high school and Barbara Baxter, scholarship chairman for the PTA, are in the process of selecting the scholarship winners from the applications received. The emphasis on fund raising by the high school PTA is to make college scholarships available to approximately three or more students each year. The scholarships will be presented at the awards assembly this month. |
