Show State Road auto accident injures infant An auto accident on May 8 near 1300 W. State Road resulted in severe head injuries to a three-week-old child, according to Pleasant Grove Police Officer Bert Bean. The officer said that an eastbound car driven by Doris Hanick, 1140 E. 100 N., Pleasant Grove, had to swerve to avoid hitting a diesel truck which pulled onto the State Road from Proctor Lane. As the driver swerved around the truck she struck an obstacle near the Timpanogos Animal Hospital which sent her car ' careening into the westbound lane of traffic. The car struck another vehicle driven by Cherrie Harding, 64 N. 100 W., American Fork. Passengers in the Harding car were Chance Harding, three weeks of age, who sustained the head injuries, and Trent Harding, 8. The baby was taken to American Fork Hospital by Pleasant Grove Ambulance. Damage to the Harding car was set at $2,500 and damage to the Hanick vehicle was $2,000. |
