Show Jennifer Giles receives scholarship, honors from Professional Secretaries I I I ' " 1 Jennifer Giles of Pleasant Grove High School was recently honored by Timp Valley Chapter of Professional Secretaries International during a luncheon held in conjunction with their annua secretarial seminar. Students honored were chosen by their high school business teachers as the most outstanding business student of their high school. In addition, Jennifer was the recipient of a scholarship as the most outstanding student to be used in continuing her preparation for entering the secretarial profession. The scholarship was awarded to the student with the highest number of points earned on resume material, which included: GPA, secretarial background, business courses completed, part-time part-time employment while in school, and participation in extracurricular extra-curricular activities. Jennifer, in addition to her business classes, has worked as a receptionist in a dentist's office, as a part-time secretary at the Utah State Training School, where she is currently employed. She was selected for Who's Who Among American High School fljtfiaStaS&aSSaiKAMSRifi JENNIFER GILES Students, was named Business Student of the Month for October, 1983, and has been on the high honor roll. In addition, she is a member of the National Honor Society, FBLA, FHA, the Society of Distinguished American High School Students, and the Ski Club. Jennifer plans to attend Utah Technical College and then Utah State University. |
