Council boasts new members The Pleasant Grove Youth City Council has seven new members. Karalee Flinders is the Mayor and Suzzane Stirling, Dianne Bezzant, Denice Dickerson, Janeen Ostler, and Wendy Warburton, are the Council members. They were formed mainly to act as youth representation, where the city is involved. They are also the sponsors of youth projects. They are currently working on two projects. The city Christmas tree is one that is coming up really soon, and they hope to get many people involved. They are also working on raising money for the Statue of Liberty, which has, been falling apart. Karalee plans on delivering the money raised to Senator Hatch in person when she goes back to New York with the Pleasant Grove A Capella Choir. The Council is asking twenty-five cents per child and a dollar for each adult. The seventeen-year-old mayor says, "We hope the community will support us in all we do, and we will support the community." |
