Vice President Jean Killpack conducted the meeting. Maymetta Johnson offered the prayer. The speaker for the evening, Phillip V. He graduated from Lincoln High School, Brigham Young University and George Washington Law School. He served as an agent for the F.B.I, and was District Attorney for the Fourth District Court. Mr. Christensen and his wife Gwen served as LDS Ambassadors to Greece. It was about this mission call that he focused his remarks. This was an International Mission call and they didn't have the right to proselyte, but they did organize a small branch and held Sunday services for the years they were in Greece. They met many good Mormons, especially service men and their families who were serving at air bases there. He related a few facts about Greece. Greece is about the same size as Utah. There are about nine million people living there with four million living in the Athens area. The Greek Orthodox Church is the predominant church. The govern-ment was a but has changed since elections to a socialist form of government. Mr. Christensen showed many beautiful slides and told of places and the history of Greece. It was most interesting. He showed pic-tures of members of the church. Especially interesting was the pictures he showed of places the Apostle Paul visited and Preached in Biblical times. Crete was his favorite place in Greece. This was a guest night and 49 members and their husbands and friends enjoyed this most in-formative evening. The group was entertained by Rick Priddis, a talented young singer. He sang "Misty," "You Are The Sunshine Of My Life" and "The Theme From Ice Castles."
