Show obituaries Dorothy Morehead Mrs. Elizabeth Porter, Wytheville, Va.; two brothers and one sister, Eugene F. Warren, Wytheville, Va.; Bernard A. Porter, Jr. Rural Retreat, Va.; Mrs. John S. (Elizabeth) Watts, Jr., Charleston, W. Va. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 1, 1983, at 10 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Ninth LDS Ward. Graveside services were held at the St. Johns Cemetery, Wytheville, Va. Services were under the direction of Bishop John L. Oscarson. Pallbearers Pall-bearers were Kelly Hoffman, Bob Fenton, Barry Bullock, Glade Walker, Lowell Baxter and Jack Taylor. Honorary pallbearers were Harvey Rawlinson, Eldon Johnson, Duane Clark, Leonard Sheehan, J. Dale Seely, Clifford C. Hales, Shirl Winters, Ted Tucker and Robert Oscarson. The family prayer was given by Robert C. Morehead, Jr. The prelude and postlude were played by Kristin Howe. Greetings were given by Bishop Oscarson and the invocation was by Michael D. Christensen. The life sketch was by Carol South am. A vocal trio composed of Alice Myers, Karen Trunnell and Kristin Howe, accompanied by Donna Keate, sang, "How Great Thou Art" A speaker was Maymetta Johnson. A vocal selection, "The Dearest Names," was sung by the grandchildren grand-children accompanied by Kristin Howe. A speaker was A. Warren Collins. Remarks were given by Bishop Oscarson' 'and the ward choir directed by Harvey Rawlinson and accompanied by Jan Dealing sang, "Oh My Father." The benediction was by Hal C, South am. Dedication of the grave in Wytheville, Virginia was by Robert C. Morehead, Jr. PLEASANT GROVE Dorothy Warren Morehead, 53, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 1983 of cancer in the American Fork Hospital. She was born in Martinsville, Va., Sept. 3, 1929 to Raymond and Elizabeth Painter Warren. She married Robert C. Morehead, Jr., on May 11, 1948 in the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Wytheville, Va. After joining the LDS Church in 1950, their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple, April 1, 1954. She served in her church from her youth, particularly in music as a pianist and organist in directing children's singing. She was a former resident of Payson and Orem. She lived in Pleasant Grove for the past 23 years. Survivors include her husband of Pleasant Grove; two sons and three daughters, Robert C. Morehead, 3rd, Bountiful; Rolfe Morehead, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Michael D. (Jane) Christensen, Mount Pleasant; Mrs. Hal C. (Carol) Southam, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Kelly (Marie) Hoffman, Proyo; 11 grandchildren; mother, D. Ray Allred LEHI D. Ray Allred, 98, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 1983 in a Salt Lake City convalescent center. He was born Oct. 14, 1884 in Lehi to Dilbert Hyrum and Orinda Jane Davis Allred. He married Suzy Kirkham on Nov. 22, 191 1 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. She died Feb. 9, 1968. He was a farmer and a member of the LDS Church. He served an LDS Mission to England. Survivors include one son, Ernest L. Allred, Salt Lake City; eight grandchildren; 22 . great-grandchildren. Funeral was Monday at 1 p.m. in the Wing Mortuary Chapel in Lehi. Burial was in the Lehi City Cemetery. Mary Hansen Jones AMERICAN FORK- Mary Martin Hansen Jones, 84, died Feb. 22, 1983 in San Luis Obispo, Calif. She was born Nov. 18, 1889 in England to James and Mary Ann Martin. She came to the USA when she was five years old. She married Edmond R. Hansen Jan. 9, 1918 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died July 26, 1967. She married Aaron E. Jones May 24, 1972. She lived in Utah County a short time and then moved to Price, where she lived for 41 years. She was active in church and musical circles and has often called been called to sing on direct singing groups. I She is survived by her husband, one son and two daughters, Richard Hansen, Tooele; Mrs. Kenneth R. (Norma) Jones, San Luis Obispo, Calif.; Mrs. Marvin (Lorna Rae) Keller, Price; 15 grandchildren and : 38 great grandchildren. Also by one' sister, Sarah Ellen Muzel, Orem. Two children, Carl and Helen, preceeded her in death. Graveside services were held Monday at the American Fork City Cemetery. Jill B. Weeks Mortuary Chapel, American Fork. Burial was in the American Fork City Cemetery. AMERICAN FORK- Barbara Jill Bonebrake Weeks, 43, died February 23, 1983. She was born June 9, 1939, in El Monte, Calif, to Edward Ross and Evelyn Cannon Bonebrake. She married Richard Neil Weeks July 4, 1963 in Las Vegas, Nev. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and active in high school rodeo. She is survived by her husband, two sons and three daughters: Brad Fenton, Midvale; Mrs. Clay (Belinda) Holt, Riverton; Mrs. Bridget Hamilton, LaPoint; Scott Weeks and Mrs. Sharron Sorenson, both of American Fork. Also by five grandchildren, one brother, Bill Bonebrake, Orem; and one sister, Mrs. Peggy Karkula Hanson, Lehi.' Funeral services were held Monday in the Anderson and Sons m t t$g. I I f JILL B. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery under the direction of the Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove. PLEASANT GROVE Ida Hollindrake West, 92, Pleasant Grove, died Feb. 26, 1983 at a Fullerton, Calif, nursing home. She was born April 26, 1890 in American Fork to John Robert and Emily Winn Hollindrake. She married Junius Alma West on June 4, 1913, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died October 17, 1969. She was an active member of the LDS Church and the Pleasant Grove Ward. She had served as president of the Primary, MIA and Relief Society, and had taught in all of the ' auxiliaries. In 1965, she was Pleasant Grove Mother of the Year and finished as first runnerup in the state finals. Survivors include two sons and two daughters: William J. West, Fullerton, Calif.; Dr. J. Robert West, Redland Calif.; Mrs. Don H. (Louis) Anderson, Pasadena, Calif.; Mrs. L. Odell (June) Christensen, Pittsburgh, Pa.; 18 grandchildren 29 greatgrandchildren; two sisters and one brother, Donna Howarth and |
