Sabey in the Salt Lake Temple. After their marriage, they moved to Afton, Wyoming, where they made their home for 21 years. Fern and Soren have three children - Sandra Sabey of Orem, Bruce W. of Kent, Washington, and Dean W. Sabey of Denver, Colorado. All three of her children received college degrees and her sons served missions for the LDS Church. After Fern's children were grown, she decided to go back to work and was employed at Call-Ai- r and later Polaris Industries of Afton, Wyoming for seven years. At this time, Soren, who worked for the federal government, was transferred to Provo, and the family moved back to American Fork. She has led an active life in church and community affairs, serving in various capacities in her church including serving on the Y. W.M.I. A. stake and ward boards in Wyoming and Utah for 25 years. She has also enjoyed working on civic committees and on the Afton, Wyoming library committee. ,j Fern Sabey, a employee of the American Fork Hospital, has been named hospital em-ployee of the month for November. Mrs. Sabey works in the business office, and says she has always enjoyed working in the business field. She states she has always enjoyed meeting and making many new friends at the hospital as well as in other areas of the United States. Her goals at the hospital have been to be loyal, thorough and fair in her work assignments and she highly admires who do likewise. Family, family outings and projects, traveling, sewing, geneology, being with people and her five little grandsons are some of her special hobbies. Born and raised in American Fork, she graduated from the old American Fork High School and upon graduation attended the LDS Business College in Salt Lake. Operating room nurses hold open house Operating room nurses at the American Fork Hospital are sponsoring an open house on Nov. 12 from 1 to 4 p.m. to let area residents know "what goes on in the operating room." A display of some of the new equipment purchased for use by new specialties at the hospital will be on display. New volunteer officers elected Election for new officers of the Volunteers at American Fork Hospital were held Nov. 8th at 3:00 p.m. in the Hospital Board room. Blanch Cook was elected to serve as president-elec- t and Maxine Greenwood will serve as the new secretary. They will be serving with Greta Miller as president. Melissa Robinson, Millie Webb, and Avis West were the nominating committee. |
