Show 4 All The Way Home' inspires families to pull together "I believe this is a production everyone can identify with," Catherine Fillmore, director of the Pultizer Prize winning "All the Way Home" stated as she viewed the dramatic play. The play, by Tad Mosel, continues at the Alhambra Theater in Pleasant Grove November 11, 12 and 13. It opened November 5 for three presentations. Based on the book, "A Death in the Family," by James Agee, Ms. Fillmore says the focus of the play is on the family and the involvement in-volvement of five generations as they learn of the sudden death of one member. "It shows how family members work together and pull together in the time of crises," Ms. Fillmore said. "They find new strength and caring in themselves than they had . previously been able to see," she said. Ms. Fillmore is a well known actress and director. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Theater and Cinematic Arts. - While at BYU, she was named the Best Supportive Actress for 1974-75, and the Best Character Actress for 1976-77. She is a member of the Professional Actors Workshop; the Professional Writers and Directors Workshop; and has directed for the Lighthouse Repertory Company, arid been artistic director for Castle Productions, Utah Children's Theater, and Walk-On's Inc. Ms. Fillmore is currently directing a pilot for a television series. "All the Way Home" is the first dramatic production of the Utah Pageant of the Arts Expansion Arts program. |
